In December 2013, the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), in partnership with the International Air Transport Association (IATA), and Airports Council International (ACI), established the Young Aviation Professionals Programme, a global outreach programme for young professionals aimed at enhancing the capacity of the international aviation community to in meet the emerging needs for the next generation of aviation professionals.
This development programme aims to attract young professionals who hold advanced university qualifications and have already acquired a minimum of two years of experience in aviation-related regulatory activities and/or in the aviation industry.
It provides a unique professional development opportunity to young professionals who are embarking on their aviation career. Selected candidates will contribute to one or more of ICAO's Strategic Objectives under the mentorship of an ICAO subject-matter expert. Focussing on the inter-relationships between the work of ICAO and that of the airline and airport industries, they will also work in close collaboration with IATA and ACI experts.
Working directly with ICAO, IATA and ACI in Montreal over a period of twelve months is a one-of-a-kind opportunity which will allow Young Aviation Professional Officers to advance their knowledge and understanding of the global civil aviation system within a United Nations international regulatory body, in collaboration with the airline and airport industries, and to experience first-hand the synergies which exist between these partners.
The recruitment campaign for the 2018 selections has been launched. Further details can be obtained by clicking on the announcement below.
